Measures soft materials, hardness e.g. rubber, soft plastic materials, leather etc. A spring loaded measurement tip is held against the material and the hardness is stated in Shore A. The measurement surface should be relatively flat and the measurement surface size at least 12 mm in diameter and the measurement is made at least 12 mm from the outer edge. Calibration can be done with the enclosed test block. The instrument has a mean value function for 2 to 9 measurements. Automatic shutoff after 1 minute. The instrument follows the standard according to DIN 53505, ISO 868, ASTM D 2240. Batteries not included.
